Mumbai Terrorized..again..

So after almost 18 months I post a blog.Yes, pretty much the blogshpere cannot 'escape' blogging the recent terror attacks in Mumbai

Mumbai bounces back.. Mumbai is resilient..The spirit of Mumbai prevails...You could add many more..

I think this very fantastic spirit has made the city immune to such terror attacks.Who is to blame? I've to sound cliche here- 'The Government'. But the reason is not the usual corruption or vote bank politics, its an outrageous lack of responsibility.

I've haven't done any research on the number of terror attacks in India but it appears to be obvious that anyone could get a feel that India has been a helpless victim of such attacks.

Lets structure this event-

Its believed that Pakistani Militants try to engage locals to terrorize and create unrest amongst Indians. The infamous ISI abets/helps/funds these organisations. As they say they don't carry a state tag and hence are every one's enemies. When there is an attack on India, the government 'Just Blames' the neighbours.

So far none of the politician had a foresight on how to tackle terror. The immediate argument that is born is 'Hey wait a min, do you even know the population density of India and that India cannot afford a world class state of art security system.' Well this very attitude of India should change. Every country learns from mistakes. But Indian politicians seem to be ignorant even after blunders. Not to forget the statement made by one of the state representative against NSG commando, Sandeep Unnikrishnan's family. I mean years and years of experience just make them so immature that they bluntly make such careless statements.

Its sad that India is only keen on convincing the US about the Pakistani involvement. May be enhancing the security could at least make the citizen feel better.Well all the intelligence group in India should be under one name to avoid "Negative Competition". We could rip off the intermediate cabinet Secretaries so that the chief of this consolidated agency reports directly to the PM and save time.Threats should be taken seriously. Police should carry more sophisticated weapons and atleast pretend that they can use it when required.India should invest money on training them.I make this statement after I saw one of the Policeman who was been asked to hold a gun so that he could shoo aways the terrorist but he rather chose to glee at it and also express shock and awe that he could actually hold it.

Now as far as the war on terror goes Pakistan would have understood that there might be a breach on its international borders and the world will act if Pakistan fails to. It appears that the international pressure might soon transpire into physical presence of international forces in Pakistan.

Well the world leaders know it but unfortunately no one knows their threshold!!

It was a very sad incident in the history of India and Mumbai specifically.
In this blog sunder has very rightly put forth the thought that why is India wasting time convincing US about Pakistani involvement, instead it should take measures to make it's citizens feel safe. Well said sunder....I hope the "peoples" government is listening.

We cant say that there is a total lack of security and trained officials... there is the NSG and the MARCOS and they did pretty well. The problem is immediate action was not taken from the "heads" (give it any caption...) So I guess what we want is more coordination and control.....welcome back to the blog...Sunder strikes again :)

Lets Face the truth Dude. What are we doing; in fact what are all those Indians doing who are well educated, trained for international exposure!! with a foresight and have all the energy. Are they --> Earning Money, Drive Luxury Cars, Earning Social Status, F1 Visa, H1 Visa, Green card.. and what sit at our safe home in US and complain about the structure and problems that are eating away India.

What we want is better financial stability; only for us and our immediate family. That is all we are worried about. In these terms we are like any other politician.

The main problem in India -> Everyone is better educated to talk about India and problems in India but no one is educated to take action, stand up at hard times and be an example.

All said and done.. my theory --> A person who complains is only pitied in this world, but a person who comes out of it and improves/improvise himself has followers.. be it a Person, be it a Industry or be it a Country

Teja-
Well what you mentioned was absolutely correct. I never had an answer for this. But however blog is another way of sharing thoughts. Its unfortunate that these blogs per se have a complaining character. I believe you are right becasue this medium only educates the masses who already know about it. May be we could go a step further and deliver this to the needed masses?

Just to add on, i feel it a need to train the aam aadmi with atleaset some kinda self defence stuff or give him a lil bit of knowledge for handling guns....some kinda training on those lines is necessary....Also our so called police team needs to go on with some rigourous training. If you see most of the police men are with a big belly. Ask them to run for even a minute and they would be gasping for breath.

Sundar,
Don't blame everyone except you. You always like to blame Politicians. This is wrong. People must change there attitude towards them. Politicians are not coming from sky or space. They are being elected by us. In a direct way we are responsible for making them to represent us. If you so much anger in politicians why don't you find a new Political party and start the developement works. OK.
We are working here and developing this country and you are not even bothered about our country least about security. You will work for the america's security because they pay you? Grow up sundar. If you start the blame game then you will be the first and last in that. How many times did you vote in India?
People are saying us to improve from the failures. It is not the Government which has to learn. It is us who have to learn that Our country needs us. Government is nothing but a group of critics.
You are always try to improve your writting skills by posting this blogs and end up doing nothing to all except you.
